My name is Jan Pendleton and I have created this website for anyone to use for free.

I really didn’t want to include a bio about myself but I understand how folks may have suspicions or wonder what my motive may be. It’s just a way for me to give back, nothing else.

I have always had a pet growing up thanks to my parents. My dream as a child was to be a veterinarian (Dr. Doolittle was a big inspiration) but school, marriage, and children kind of sidetracked that.

As a teenage I was a volunteer at the Animal Control Center in Anchorage and I believe it was from working there that my empathy for animals grew, not only to try to do something to make a difference but to be an advocate for animals who have no control of their situations.
In high school I worked at a Veterinary Clinic and saw and learned a lot about animal care.

My son got his first dog, Shadow, when he was three. I told him this was as close to a brother as he was going to get (haha).

He was the most wonderful dog ever and filled our lives with love when we were going through a hard time in our lifes'. Unfortunately Shad developed liver cancer and I had to put him down when he was barely six years old.

I believe we all have something to give back to our community, its residents, and animals. And one by one we can make a difference.

Again, this is a free site with no advertisements and I don't expect anything in return. I hope folks and pets will benefit from it.
